Dave

Dave has been deeply involved in mountaineering, hill walking and travel to remote areas for over 30 years and has been a member of numerous mountaineering expeditions, including Everest North Face.

He is a member of the Alpine Club and has a number of first ascents, in both summer and winter, to his credit. He has also been involved in leading and instructing groups of novice mountaineers from military units in the French Alps, the Rocky Mountains and the Karakorum.

In 1994, Dave was awarded the Territorial Decoration in recognition of over 23 years service to the Territorial Army, in which he reached the rank of Major.

Dave's lifelong interest in wild places and mountainous areas was rewarded in 1995 when he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Dave has a Summer Mountain Leader (MLS), Winter Mountain Leader (MLW) and Single Pitch Award (SPA). He joined the BAEML (British Association of European Mountain Leaders) in 1993.

Joyce

Dave’s wife Joyce accompanies him on most organised treks looking after the logistics; dropping off and picking up walkers and transporting rucksacks/camping gear etc.
Joyce is an experienced mountaineer in her own right having climbed and walked in Nepal, Europe and North America. Joyce is especially fond of Scotland and has extensive knowledge of the Torridon and Sutherland hills.

Finn

Finn joins the party for most UK treks and is working towards his passport so that he can go backpacking in Europe.

He loves chocolate and small children (which he is NOT allowed to eat), but is terrified of cats.
